Kohima, November 1 (MExN): The farewell programme honoring Commissioner & Secretary, Youth Resources and Sports, Anenla S. Longchari, IAS was held at Hotel Japfu on October 31.
Anenla, in her farewell speech, said she joined the Office of the Commissioner in 1982 and shared some of her past memories: with hardly anything to guide them those days as there were no complied set of rules and guide books but only the basic trainings from the ATI, and how she took help and guidance from her officers and even from her subordinates to perform her official duties.
She also said government employees should create a good working congenial working environment in the office since we spend a better part of the day in the office making it ‘a home away from home’, and also need to adjust ourselves with our colleagues.
Advisor Youth Resources & Sports, Er. Zale Neikha in his speech described the out-going Commissioner & Secretary, Anenla S. Longchari, IAS as the “Pillar and Rock of my fortress,” a guide and a mother like-figure, and an advisor in the business of administration. He also described her as a simple, trustworthy, dependable and down to earth person. He also said that since she took charge of the office as Commissioner & Secretary in January 2018, she changed the working system of administration and the department has been able to achieve soaring height of success.
