Dimapur, December 17 (MExN): The ENVIS hub Nagaland (Nagaland Pollution Control Board) conducted Green Skill Development Programme on Pollution Monitoring (Air and Water) which commenced on November 1 under Ministry of Environment Forests and Climate Change (MoEFn & CC).
The Programme- ‘Green Skill Development’ comprised of theory on air and water quality and the scope of monitoring and its mitigating factors, stated a press release here.
The trainees were also given hands-on training on how to monitor noise and the pollutants of the ambient air, sample collection, analysis from the laboratory for physical, chemical and biological parameters of water monitoring.
Resource persons included officers and staffs of Nagaland Pollution Control Board and guest lecture Dr Z Changsan, Regional Director, Zonal office, Shillong, Central Pollution Control Board.
On completion of the programme, Member Secretary, Nagaland Pollution Control Board, Rusovil John, an ENVIS coordinator, ENVIS Hub, Nagaland handed over the certificates to the trainees.
