Dwellers asked to vacate homes in landslip zones before rains

The threat of landslides looms large over the city, especially in the hilly terrains, in the coming monsoon season. As a precaution to this annual problem, the Kamrup (Metropolitan) district administration has sent notices to about 200 households residing on about 19 hillocks in the greater Guwahati area, asking them to vacate the landslide-prone zones immediately.
