Chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday thanked the people of Assam for giving a decisive mandate to BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. The saffron party surpassed its 2014 tally in Assam by securing nine of the 14 Lok Sabha seats. In the previous election, the party had won seven seats.from
