21 carcasses found, half of Kaziranga still under water

As the flood situation gets better by the day, more animal carcasses are being found at the Kaziranga National Park (KNP). On Sunday, as half of the national park still battled flood waters, 21 animal carcasses were retrieved taking the toll to 162. The flood level, however, has gone down to 150 cm, Kaziranga, officials said. Of the 21 bodies found, 14 were hog deer, three sambar deer, three wild boars and one wild buffalo.
