Gauhati HC picks retired officers to hear citizenship cases

The Gauhati high court on Tuesday announced the selection of 221 retired officials who will adjudicate citizenship cases in the additional 200 foreigners' tribunals coming up to deal with the rush of cases expected right after the final updated National Register of Citizens (NRC) is published on August 31.
