Guwahati gets automated early warning system to predict urban floods

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), in collaboration with India Meteorological Department (IMD) and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), has developed a fully automated web-based Flood Early Warning System (FEWS) to predict urban floods in Guwahati. The tool, which will be launched on Thursday, can be replicated to predict urban floods in any part of the country.
