Covid toll and daily cases rise as number of tests drop in Assam

The state registered 5,803 new cases, the highest so far, after 72,197 tests the previous day. For the state health authorities it was a double shock on Tuesday as the daily cases touched the highest mark of 6,258 and the death toll touched 85.
