Dholpur in Darrang district, which is in the eye of a storm over recent evictions, has been producing mustard, maize, pulses and a large volume of vegetables for the markets of Guwahati and other parts of the state for long. Buffalo farms have been sustaining the demand for dairy products. But the massive eviction drive has turned this fertile land, flanked by two tributaries of the Brahmaputra, into rubble land.
