Governor on warpath with Gauhati University's faculty over 'monitor' role

Assam governor and chancellor of state universities, Jagdish Mukhi, has asked Gauhati University (GU) to submit a weekly timetable of lecture classes of each faculty member, which the teachers fear will erode the authority bestowed on the vice-chancellor.
