Assam tea gardens get high schools first time since Independence

For the first time since Independence, students in Assam’s tea garden areas can avail of secondary education without having to move out of home after chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday inaugurated 96 newly built model high schools in the vicinity of gardens.
