Naga artist, Temsuyanger Longkumer will be exhibiting his artwork, titled ‘The Tattooed Memory,’ starting December 12 at the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, which is an international exhibition of contemporary art held in Kochi, Kerala.
The sculpture Tattooed memory is on permanent display at the Horniman Museum’s World Gallery. Longkumer in an interview with the Horniman Museum & Gardens Blog talks in detail about how the particular sculpture is a memoir of his growing up in a tribal community with a dual ethnicity.
The 42 year old artists, who is active in London, also talks about his creative process, challenges he faces and his perspective on the human condition.
