'Work on Subansiri dam sub judice, can't be resumed'

A day after the Assam government signed an MoU with the NHPC to resume construction of the 2,000-MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project, stalled since 2012, the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) on Saturday said the MoU was "illegal and a betrayal of the people of Assam".
