Former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi, during whose tenure the decision to update the National Register of Citizens (NRC) was taken in 2005 and later started in 2013, on Friday wrote to Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi, and urged him to review the entire exercise to update the citizenship register. Gogoi in his letter also said the NRC update exercise has been faulty and it has been rejected by almost all political parties.from
