Guwahati: Residents protest felling of 50 trees to build bus lay-by

City residents formed a human chain here on Thursday to protest against the felling of nearly 50 trees to allegedly construct a new bus lay-by. The protest was held at the iconic Shankardev Udyan at Bharalumukh on the banks of the Brahmaputra.
