Though the number of admissions started declining towards the end of last year at the premier hospital in the region, it was never completely free of Covid patients. Principal of the hospital, Dr Achyut Baishya, said in the now defunct Kalapahar Covid care facility, which was under the administrative control of the GMCH, a few cases were there last year as the second wave lingered on and the third wave hit the state.from
