The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday arrested 10 members of the Islamic outfit, Popular Front of India (PFI), in different parts of Assam for their alleged involvement in anti-establishment conspiracy. The arrested PFI members have been accused of fomenting communal strife in the state by criticising government policies, including the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and Doubtful voter (D-voter). A local court has sent them to five-day police custody.
