Cyclone Sitrang rips through NE states, Assam & Tripura badly hit

Cyclone Sitrang ripped through the northeast, bringing down houses, snapping telecommunication networks and damaging standing crops late on Monday, even as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted more rain across the region.
