Several indigenous organizations of the northeast, along with the All Assam Students' Union (Aasu) said that they are not ready to accept the exemptions that may be given to the states having provisions like the Inner Line Permit (ILP) or sixth schedule areas from the purview of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB), 2019, and want the contentious legislation to be scrapped unconditionally.from
