Assam closes markets after mad rush to buy essentials

The Assam government on Friday closed all markets, including fish and meat shops, for an indefinite period after citizens across the state came out in large numbers across the state in the morning to buy essentials, violating social distancing guidelines set for the 21-day lockdown.
