Madrassas in Assam will be converted to general schools, students won’t suffer: Himanta

Assam education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said since government-run madrassas will be converted to general schools, the students studying in these institutions will not suffer. The state government has decided to shut down all provincialised madrassas by November.
