Usual pre-Puja rush missing in Guwahati malls, markets this year

Even though Durga Puja is around the corner, the usual festive buzz is missing this year. The complete makeover that Guwahati gets leading up to the festive season is nowhere to be seen. Instead, there is a ubiquitous feeling of sadness and suffering due to Covid-19, which has claimed over 800 lives in the state and dampened the spirit of celebrations.
