The Joint Action Committee of Recognised Unions (JACRU) of the Cachar Paper Mill at Panchgram in Hailakandi district and Nagaon Paper Mill at Jagiroad in Morigaon district, on Monday said CM Sarbananda Sonowal’s carelessness on the mills resulted in the deaths of 85 employees of the industries in the past five years and therefore does not deserve to be the chief minister of Assam again. The committee suggested Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP’s chief strategist in the northeast, be made the next chief minister.from
