After a four-day delay, vaccination for the 18-44 age group began in Assam on Wednesday, even as the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic is turning out to be deadlier for the state. Altogether 55 Covid-related deaths were reported on Wednesday, the highest recorded in a single day since the Coronavirus outbreak last year, health officials said.
