Despite the AIUDF trying to wash its hands of the Taliban controversy by sacking its general secretary, Fazlul Karim Qasimi, for allegedly backing Taliban rule in Afghanistan, it has handed over to the BJP and other parties a trump card to corner the party in the upcoming elections.
