Assam Congress tries to fortify base amid Mukul Sangma's exit

The exit of the former chief minister of Meghalaya, Mukul Sangma, along with 11 of Congress’s 17 MLAs in the hill state to the TMC, is being seen as another jolt for the party which has just not been able to check the exodus of its leaders to other parties.
