The number of crimes against women in 2018 went up by more than 15% as compared to the previous year, according to data published by the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB). The state saw more than 2,200 cases in 2018 (16,920) as compared to 14,711 such cases in 2017. The number of cases reported in 2016 was 13,400.from
