A major explosion ripped through the ammonia-urea unit (Unit-2) of the Namrup-based Brahmaputra Valley Fertiliser Corporation Limited (BVFCL) at around 12.45am on Monday leading to an indefinite shutdown of the plant. The explosion, caused by a “technical glitch”, comes months after a similar blast at the fertiliser unit.from
