After the flare-up on the inter-state border on July 26 when six police personnel of the state were gunned down by Mizoram police, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and later home minister Amit Shah in Parliament. Sarma in his tweet on Monday said, “Today I called on Adaraniya PM Narendra Modi to apprise him on how our government has been working to steer and scale up Assam’s development journey as envisioned by him. Also briefed him about the Bodo peace process, our war against drugs and implementation of various central schemes.”
