Intermediate students of two of the state's leading government engineering colleges, Jorhat Engineering College (JEC) and Jorhat Institute of Science & Technology (JIST), are being deprieved of offline classes because of a confusion regarding the government order on the reopening of institution hostels. Only final-year tech students, for whom the hostels have reopened, are attending physical classes.
