Cargo ships will start sailing on Brahmaputra later this year: Sarbananda Sonowal

Union minister for ports, shipping and waterways Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday expressed hope that cargo ships will start sailing on the Brahmaputra towards the later part of 2022. The dredging work at critical junctures of the river has already been initiated by the ministry, he said.
