A sub-inspector of 25th Assam Police (ONGC) battalion in Sivasagar allegedly shot himself with his service pistol at his residence on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Probin Gogoi (56) who was deployed at ONGC’s Rudrasagar oil field in Sivasagar.
