Mizoram journalists tour prog in Nagaland

A team of 10 journalists from Mizoram representing various newspapers led by officials of DIPR Mizoram are currently in Nagaland as part of the tour programme.


They visited Khonoma, 2nd World War Cemetery, State Museum, ‘Made in Nagaland’ expo centre, Nagaland Civil Secretariat and other locations in and around Kohima.


An interaction with the visiting journalists took place here today at the conference hall of the Directorate of Information & Public Relations, Nagaland in the presence of the members of Kohima Press Club and DIPR officials.


Nagaland’s DIPR director Limawati Jamir highlighted the various activities of the department as well as various welfare packages being extended to the accredited journalists in Nagaland.


C. Lalhruitluanga, DPRO, Lawngtlai district Mizoram, K. Laldingliani, IPRO, Directorate of DIPR Mizoram, Zohmingmawia, secretary Mizoram Journalists’ Association and others also highlighted the affairs of media house in Mizoram.


There are about 300 journalists in Mizoram working in 20 daily newspapers and other news agencies.


Later, Kohima Press Club hosted a dinner for the visiting journalists at Eastgate Hotel.
