AONEI annual conference today

Kohima, February 1 (MExN): The Association of Oncologist, North East India (AONEI) will be organizing an annual conference on February 2, 3:00 pm at Hotel Japhü, Kohima. Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, S Pangnyu Phom will attend the conference as special guest, stated a press release here.

NSCN (IM) Naga Rengma Hills bans hunting, fishing

Dimapur, February 1 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) Naga Rengma Hills has banned all activities of hunting, fishing, deforestation and poaching of endangered species, endangered plants within the Naga Rengma Hills. Illegal contracts of all forest products obtained within its area will be dealt with stringent action, informed a press release from Tennyson Rengma, Deputy Kilonser cum Caretaker, EO Naga Rengma Hills NSCN (IM). The release added this notice was served after illegal activities had caused serious threat to the flora and fauna of the Hills. It further informed that approval from its authorities should be obtained for any eco-activities or research programme within the area. Defaulters will be penalized sternly, it added.

Order on arms license verification

Kohima, February 1 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming General Election to the Lok Sabha, 2019, the Deputy Commissioner of Kohima and DEO, Gregory Thejawelie NCS has issued an order to all licensed arms holders in Kohima District to produce the arms license along with arms in the nearest Police Station on or before February 15 for verification.

Purana Bazaar Village Council on sale, purchase of land

Dimapur, February 1 (MExN): As per GBs’ meeting held on February 1, all concerned citizens under Purana Bazaar areas are informed that purchase and sales of land, issue of Land Patta under its jurisdiction will not be accepted without the concern of respective GBs of the colonies under its area. A press release from Pitu Mech, Head GB and Zhevito Aye, GB Secretary, Purana Bazaar Village informed that violation of this notification will be at his/her own risk. It also requested KT Gas Agency to distribute gas either at home or in office for public convenience since the public were facing hardship collecting from the store.
