The residents of the surrounding areas of the dumping ground located at East Boragaon area in the city on Tuesday demanded that the government and Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) should shift the dumping ground to a secluded place at the earliest as it poses a threat to public health and fragile ecology of the Deepor beel, located a few hundred metres away.
