ABAM Youth Ministry Self Reliance-II concludes

Mokokchung, February 24 (MExN): Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) Youth Ministry Self Reliance-II was held at Impur from February 19-23.
The resource persons for the 5 days training were Imo Yaden from Anakiyimsen village and Meren Ozukum from Mokokchung.


During the training, Bamboo craft and natural pig farming were focused, stated a press release from ABAM Executive Secretary. Altogether 23 members from 12 churches attended the training.


“In a context where our descent tradition has been almost spurned and averred to be inadequate and inborn qualities of the youths are wasted without reason by fully depending on government oriented job; unprecedented social disorder may strike anytime. Keeping this in mind, ABAM Youth Ministry has been organizing this program so as the youths to be safe from such future,” the release further stated.


The objective of the training was to “preserve our traditional handicraft, inculcate dignity of labour, adopt plastic free atmosphere and irradiate the sense of total dependency on government agencies so that we will live of our own as it should be.”
