Tuensang, February 24 (MExN): Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Tuensang organized webcasting and inauguration of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, a cash-transfer scheme in Kuthur village on February 24.
The scheme has been launched nationwide today by Prime minister Narendra Modi. Under this, Rs 6,000 will be paid to 12 crore small and marginal farmers holding cultivable land of up to two hectares per year in three installments.
The Programme was graced in the presence of Village council chairman, chairman Village Development Block, Gaon boras and leaders of different organization, stated a press release from Martina Shitiri, ACTO.
Martina Shitiri, ACTO (plant breeding) presented highlights of the schemes. The inaugural programme was chaired by Eliseni Tsopoe, SMS (Plant Protection). All together 63 farmers participated in the PM-Kisan inaugural programme.
