Phek blank Mokokchung, Kohima overwhelm Peren with similar 3-0 score line in the semifinals

Kohima and Phek districts today registered win in their respective semi finals matches at the ongoing 20th Inter District Football Championship 2019 (T Ao Trophy) here at Indira Gandhi Stadium.

With this, they will vie for the coveted champion title on February 2 at 1:00 PM.

In the first match of the day, Phek XI blanked Mokokchung XI 3-0. Rhitsho Mero opened the goal galore for Phek in the 47th minute.

Thereafter, Vekhruto Resu and Punüru Nienu contributed a goal each for the team to register an emphatic 3-0 win.

Likewise, Kohima defeated Peren with similar scoreline in the second semi finals, with Keneinguze Pienyü opened the account for the team within the first minute of the match.

The team gained two more goals through the boot of Kekhrieletuo Tsira and Nyithong Magh in the 23rd and 32nd minute respectively.

N. Bongkhao Konyak, advisor DUDA will grace the valedictory function and give away prize to the winners.
