Kohima, February 24 (MExN): Nagaland Governor, PB Acharya has extended greetings to the Angami community on the occasion of Sekrenyi festival 2019.
He stated that Sekrenyi was one of the most significant festivals of the Angamis and expressed confidence that the festival would help to purify one’s heart and soul in the truest form.
Governor Acharya observed that such festivals give all the chance to sanctify and purify oneself and called to let the festival be a source for building unity to come together and make the atmosphere conducive in towns and villages for peaceful co-existence and all round development in the State.
Governor Acharya also added that Sekrenyi festival was an occasion for merry making and giving one a welcomed break from daily routines and at the same time to rededicate oneself with renewed vigour to achieve peace, progress and prosperity.
‘May the festival of Sekrenyi bring peace, unity and prosperity to the Angamis in particular and Nagas in general’ he added.
