Mokokchung, February 24 (MExN): Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Youth Organization of Mokokchung region undertook an extensive tour to various Assembly constituencies under its region from February 22-23.

During the meeting at various Assembly constituencies, the leaders urged the party workers to strengthen the party and streamline the formation of Youth Organization from A/C level to Unit level at the earliest, stated a press release from NDPP Mokokchung region General Secretary (Media & Communication) Imlinungba Longkumer.

The tour delegation was led by the NDPP Mokokchung Region Youth Organization President Bendang Walling along with NDPP Mokokchung Region Vice president and Youth Incharge Lipok Aier and NDPP Mokokchung Region Working President N Akok Longkumer and other party youth organization leaders.

The leaders visited 29 Jangpetkong A/C, 23 Impur A/C, 22 Arkakong A/C and 21 Tuli A/C and held coordination meetings with the officials and Youth bodies.

They stated that in a political party the youth movement is more important because they are the ambassador to the people and play the most crucial role for the growth of the party starting from grassroot level.

Iterating that NDPP as a newly floated party in the State, will be facing new challenges and grievances at every corner, yet the party leaders assured that under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Party President Chingwang Konyak, NDPP is growing strength to strength.

Asserting that NDPP gives much importance to promote youths, the youth leaders appealed the party workers to focus their attention towards youth empowerment and to uplift the youths in their activities.

Further, the delegation also called upon the party worker to be true to their party principle and work towards the betterment of the party with full dedication and set an exemplary mark for the Naga society.
