DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 24 (MExN): The Lotha Hoho on Sunday clarified that it withdrew the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on Nagaland Petroleum & Natural Gas (NPNG) Rules 2012 not because it infringed on any legal provision but because the government agreed to amend the NPNG Rules. The clarification comes in response to the statement made by Advisor, IPR, SCERT and Village Guard, Toshi Wungtung on Friday that the Lotha Hoho withdrew the PIL on NPNG because it was like “surrendering the rights to judicial court.” In contrary, the Loth Hoho maintained that it made no appeal to withdraw the PIL as claimed.
