The Assam government on Sunday evening published an SOP in wake of the Omicron threat, making it mandatory for all international passengers arriving in the state from "at-risk" countries to go for seven-day home quarantine even if they test Covid negative at the airport. Those who test positive will be hospitalised as per protocol and their samples will be sent for genome sequencing to confirm Omicron variant infection.from
