Even as violence on the Assam-Meghalaya border in West Karbi Anglong district on November 22 brought life to a standstill in several parts on either side of the interstate border, the bonhomie between the two states in the disputed Langpih or Lumpi area remains driven by dependency for food, education and transportation.
