Rev. Violet Louise Anne Mark, the last living descendant of Welsh missionary Rev. Reginald Arthur Lorrain, passed away at the age of 85 in Mizoram, India. She was known as "Pi Vaili" to the Mara community and had chosen to settle in Saikao village, Mizoram, despite the mission being called off in 1977. Rev. Mark's funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, and a seven-day mourning period has been announced by the Mara Autonomous District Council.from
