The Mizoram Kohhran Hruaitute Committee (MKHC) has once again approached the state chief electoral officer to reschedule the counting of votes in the upcoming elections. The MKHC, along with representatives from political parties, civil societies, and student organizations, have appealed to change the counting date from December 3 to either December 4 or 5. This is the third time the MKHC has made this request, as the current date falls on a Sunday, considered a sacred day for Christians. Other political parties and organizations have also submitted separate appeals on the matter.
