Phek, Peren enter semi finals

Phek and Peren districts today registered win in their respective matches at the ongoing 20th Inter District Football Championship (T.Ao Trophy) here at Indira Gandhi Stadium. Both the teams found semi final berth with their wins.

Phek overpowered Wokha 5-0 in the first match of the day. Lavoryi Theluo fetched two consecutive goals for Phek in the 6th and 40th minute. Punuru Nienu, Rhitsho Mero and Khwetelhi Thopi also contributed a goal each for Phek in the 45th, 47th and 49th minute respectively.

In the second match, Peren downed Kiphire 7-0. Khangkinwibo scored the first goal for Peren in the 6 minute while Suoihiampou Kamei increased the score tally in the 17th minute.

Emsolung scored another goal for the team in the 46th minute while Ratobe N Poireng fetched two consecutive goals in the 50st and 77th minute.

Nampibo Renta and Zumzum scored a goal each in the 77th and 79th minute.
