SAMETI organizes Professional Skills Development Programme

Dimapur, January 30 (MExN): State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) organized a two day training programme on “Professional Skills Development Programme” in collaboration with Nagaland Career and Development Centre (NCDC), a Youth Net Initiative for ATMA functionaries and Agri Officials at SAMETI, Medziphema from January 29-30. The training programme was aimed at educating the participants on people skills which would enable them to execute their official duties more efficiently and effectively.


Resource persons for the training programme were Nuneseno Chase, Manager-Learning & Development and Talent Management; Ebibeni Humtsoe, Training Consultant; Inakali Zhimo, Lead, Resource Centre; Linet Sangtam, Eductaion Counsellor; Viseno Yakhro, H.R Executive and Kili Sumi, Intern from Youth Net. This was stated in a press release by Director SAMETI, Medziphema.


The training programme covered topics on introduction to the programme-Session objectives, Professionalism, Etiquette, Time management, Debrief and energizer, Communication skills, Meeting skills & event coordination and Teamwork. Practical exercises on role play, team work, communication skills and letter writing were also conducted.


The valedictory programme was chaired by Vikaho Chophi, DPD, SAMETI. Feedback from the trainees were given by K Azungla Pongener, A.O, DOA Kohima and Yanglen Jami, DPD Wokha. In her valedictory address Ebibeni Humtsoe, Training Consultant, Youth Net expressed gratitude to SAMETI for the collaborative undertaking. She remarked that the training programme was a two way learning experience for both the facilitators as well as the participants. She acknowledged the participants for their dedication towards their official duty and the enthusiasm displayed throughout the training programme. Vote of thanks was proposed by Tiajungla Longchar, DPD SAMETI.
