City natives return home to watch Jan 10 India-SL ODI

Cricket is a sport that is played between two teams of eleven players. The first match of the three match series is scheduled to be held at the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Stadium in Guwahati on January 10. Several natives from outside of Assam have decided to travel to Guwahati to watch the match. The second match will be held at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on January 12, and the final match will be held at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on January 15. The locality around the city stadium has turned into a mini fair with numerous stalls being set up merchandise shops and food carts being lined up for visitors. Cricket lovers are thronging the stadium premises to click selfies and hold their breath to catch a glimpse of the players who would hit the ground for practise on Monday. In Paltan Bazar and other similar areas lodges and hotels are almost seeing full occupancy for the nights of January 9 and 10 as a high number of visitors would be pouring in from the northeastern states.
