A retired police officer was shot and killed by a probationary officer in Assam's Dhemaji district on Saturday morning over a land dispute. The officer who shot and killed the retired officer, Alok Konwar, also shot and killed Amulya Barua, who died on the spot. Konwar surrendered at the Dhemaji police station. Police said Barua had retired from Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Siang district in 2017.from
