The actor Shah Rukh Khan called the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at 2am on Sunday to express his concern over the protests in Guwahati against the release of his film, Pathaan. Bajrang Dal activists stormed a cinema hall in the city on Friday and tore down and burnt posters of the film. Himanta said that Bollywood actor Shri Iamsrk called him and they talked today morning at 2 am. He expressed concern about an incident in Guwahati during screening of his film and assured him that it was the duty of the state government to maintain law and order. Sarma tweeted that he was not aware about what Pathaan is and no Shah Rukh Khan called him. Sarma had said that if law and order had been violated and a case had been registered, action would be taken.
